There’s more? That’s what an annoyed bottom says when they’re not a size queen. Those fifty three organizations were the ones who signed onto the Mandate for Leadership by the time it was published. Since then, more and more groups have joined in on Project 2025. Is it more damning to help shape that awful document or to join in after it was published?
I’m going to try to fly through these and mostly only talk about their connections to Trump.
2.1 American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists
Catchy.
They’re an anti-abortion group. I couldn’t find any obvious Trump connections.
2.2 Tarpia
This might have been called Amending America at one point? Their website is super annoying. I didn’t see any connections.
2.3 American Center for Law and Justice Action
We already went over their sister org, that’s entry 1.7. We’ve got some connections. Jordan Sekulow was a Trump lawyer. Then there’s James Rockas, Tom Gilman, and Robert Burkett.
2.4 American Commitment
They really don’t mention who works for them. That’s fun.
2.5 American Family Association
Another group that seems to have no connections, though a SCAD alum is there, so shame on him.
2.6 American Juris Link
Doesn’t appear to be a link.
2.7 The American Family Project
We’ve got Kevin Garvey, Bethany Kozma, Robert Patterson, Rob Siedlecki, Joseph Guy, and Edie Heipel.
2.8 The American Redistricting Project
Their website doesn’t have any of their staff or board on it.
2.9 AMAC Action
Connection time: Bob Carlstrom. They don’t have a bunch of their people on their site.
2.10 The Bull Moose Project
They don’t have any staff on their website and it was difficult to find anything. Next!
2.11 California Family Project
No connections but just gonna say they’re a bigoted group of Christian nationalists.
2.12 Calvert Task Group
They were tasked with wasting my time. Next.
2.13 Centennial Institute
Oh great another Christian college signing onto a Christian nationalist doc. Shocking.
2.14 Center for Military Readiness
This isn’t a Trump connection but its board includes Dr. James Dobson, one of the worst men in contemporary American politics.
2.15 Center for a Secure Free Society
I thought there was one connection here, but I couldn’t quite find the years someone worked. So I’m not sure, but going with none. Moving on!
2.16 Citizens Against Government Waste
What got wasted? My time.
2.17 Coalition for Liberty
Couldn’t find shit on who works there.
2.18 Committee for Justice
Ashley Baker helped to get Gorsuch and Kavanaugh confirmed. I’m unsure if that counts.
2.19 Conservative Caucus
Connections: Art Harman and Melissa Ortiz. Mark Vargas might count since it said he had close ties with the White House.
2.20 Consumers Defense
They actually went on the offense by not being worth mentioning since we’re just zipping through Trump connections.
2.21 Eagle Forum
My glances through the personnel didn’t bring up any obvious Trump connections, though I didn’t google every single person. But hey! Phyllis Schlafly’s org so at least we know they’re all sexist.
2.22 Fairer America
We’ve got Katrina Pierson here.
2.23 Feds for Freedom
More like Feds for felons, cuz, you know Project 2025.
2.24 For America
I had to click on their LinkedIn to see who worked for them. Sigh. It seems like spending less time on these groups was a good call. I suppose at some point I should look into them deeper to give everyone a true idea of how likely depraved and cruel they are, but still. A lot of these later groups just have an additional air of incompetence that the first batch didn’t.
2.25 Foundation for American Innovation
We’ve got Evan Swarztrauber, Roslyn Layton, Satya Thallam, and Michael Kratsios. It’s a nice looking website at least.
2.26 Freedom’s Journal Institute
Yay Christian supremacists.
2.27 Frederick Douglass Foundation
They barely tell you who’s involved.
2.28 Frontline Policy Action
Oh hey, a Georgia org. Hi. And also bye.
2.29 Gun Owners Foundation
Wow. The guns have been so owned, embracing a project whose policy proposals don’t care about guns.
2.30 The Heartland Institute
My heart was taken by reading a bunch of profiles with no connections.
2.31 Herzog Foundation
Unfortunate second syllable.
2.32 MacArthur Society of West Point Graduates
They’re pointing at the next group so moving on.
2.33 High School Republican National Federation
I think it’s a bit rich to pretend to represent high schoolers and their education when signing onto a project that wants to gut education in our country and also send teenagers off to work hazardous jobs, but maybe that’s just me.
I skipped all the actual children because no. So again there’s John Koons.
2.34 Institute for Education Reform
Cool, another “public unions bad” group. I guess they’re ashamed of that shameful position because their site doesn’t have any of their members.
2.35 Dr. James Dobson Family Insitute
I just want to say, to anyone who happily clings to the name of Dr. James Dobson, conservative hero, fuck you. Seriously. Dobson is an extremist and exterminationist who has caused immense and untold pain not least of which through his constant support for conversion torture on queer people. Anyone working for this institute should be shamed out of politics.
2.36 Job Creators Network
Mary Thomas is here, so there’s your Trump connection.
2.37 League of American Workers
Doesn’t tell us anyone who works here except Trump spokesman Steve Cortes.
2.38 The Malone Institute
Covid stupidity. Cool.
2.39 Middle East Forum
There’s a lot of reporting about Israel and Palestine here. I’m not reading it because I don’t want to read defenses of killing any civilians by any actor.
2.40 Media Research Center
But they don’t want me to research who works for them. Rude.
2.41 Mississippi Center for Public Policy
We’ve got a Trump connection, people: Vance Ginn.
2.42 Moms for Liberty
Notorious bigoted group of anti-education morons. They probably deserve their own video. But we’re not doing a deep dive here. They’d be pretty upset if we used our brains that much, anyway.
2.43 Mountain States Policy Center
I like mounting things. I don’t really like moving on quickly apparently, but that’s what we’re going to do.
2.44 National Association of Christian Lawmakers
Mind blow: Christian conservatives sign onto bigoted document that would destroy the country.
2.45 NRB
I guess that doesn’t stand for anything.
2.46 National Rifle Association
It’s crazy NRA wasn’t on the mandate… unless you recall that the Mandate doesn’t really talk about guns. They were ignored. Oops. Guess I should treat them the same.
2.47 National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation
Everyone hates lawyers. Next.
2.48 Native Americans for Sovereignty & Preservation
Didn’t see anything about who works there.
2.49 Nevada Policy
Who cares about that? People who talk about not taxing tips? Next!
2.50 New Founding
Their founders bit just links to the twitter accounts of dudes. Gross.
2.51 Noah Webster Educational Foundation
“Education,” they say, joining an anti-education project.
2.52 Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs
I’m sure if they had their way, all would not be okay in oklahoma. Get it? It’s an Only Murders reference
2.53 Project 21
This is just part of an org we already covered. This happens sometimes, I guess to make it look like there are more groups and people supporting Project 2025 than there actually are.
2.53 The Palm Beach Freedom Institute
My head is on my palm because I’m bored.
2.54 Palmetto Promise
I live pretty close to South Carolina so I know we should get in and out quick.
2.55 The Patriot Foundation Trust
Terrible website. Also has no staff.
2.56 Public Interest Legal Foundation
Trump connections, woo. That’s a woo of shame. J. Christian Adams, Lauren Bowman Bis, Carrie-Lee Early, and Maureen Riordan.
2.57 Protect Our Kids
All these kid orgs are just racist homophobes and transphobes.
2.58 Republicans Overseas
We’d be better off if they were.
2.59 Save Services
More transphobia. Woo!
2.60 STARRS
There are none in the conservative movement, that’s why there aren’t a bunch of conservative movies.
2.61 Tea Party Patriots
Are you shocked the Tea Party is still a thing? I am.
2.62 Turning Point USA
Hahaha Charlie Kirk. He’s connected to Trump I guess? It’s important to remember though this is a horrible group that better people than I have talked at length about. You’re about to hear some awful names connected to Trump. There’s Richard Grenell, Sebastian Gorka, and pillow boy Mike Lindell.
